The purpose of this resume is to inform the public of my background and experience in the real estate industry.  It is important that homeowners have as much information as possible not only about the company they choose, but also about their particular real estate agent.  It is after all, the agent that will be directly responsible for:

 1)      The marketing process of the home

 2)      Communication with the homeowners, and

 3)     Overseeing the entire process from the early marketing stages through the closing of the sale.                                                 

 

 Personal Background

 I am a graduate of Western Washington State , Huxley College of Environmental Studies, in Bellingham , Washington .  I was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in June of 1975.

 I have three children.  Erick 37 is a computer software designer and manager for TAD Technical in Seattle .  My two younger sons are Ben, 19 years old and Sam, 20.

 

 Real Estate Experience

 I have been an active licensed Realtor for over 26 years.

 In the spring of 1990 I teamed up with Windermere Real Estate Company to achieve greater goals.  Windermere is and has been since mid 1980's the most powerful real estate company in the state of Washington .

 

  Accomplishments  

  • Achieved the position of Assistant Manager at MacPherson's Realty,1986 
  • In 1988 I was awarded Assistant Manager of the year for the entire company of 24 offices.
  • By joining Windermere in 1990 my ability to better serve my clientele was and has been greatly enhanced.
  • 2003 through 2005 were outstanding years, selling over $11,000,000 of real estate per year.
  • 2006 and 2007 also were excellent years, selling over $13,000,000 of real estate per year. 
  • While 2008 showed its signs of an economic turn, I still closed over $8,000,000 in real estate sales.

 

Other Interests  

  • Professional musician/percussionist throughout my early years of real estate.  I still may be seen performing around town on occasion.

Marketing Plan

My marketing plan with its generous advertising budget uses a variety of media and systems to ensure maximum exposure for your home.  Maximum exposure is paramount in getting a home sold.

 

Advertising

Signs;  Your home will be provided with our professionally designed, instantly recognized sign.  A second sign shall be attached featuring my name and personal access number.  This will give the public an opportunity to contact me directly at any time.

Northwest Multiple Listing Association:  Your home shall be promoted through the Multiple Listing Service.  The NWMLS shall have complete and accurate information covering your listing and make it available to all its members.  Agents from any company can access this information by contacting the 24-hour computer database.  

Seattle Times/PI:  Windermere's weekend multi-page presentation is by far the most powerful and well designed real estate advertisement in the Times/PI.  I personally create and produce the ads for my own listings.  Your home will be included in this ad campaign.

Internet:  Internet marketing has become a very significant source of exposure.  Homebuyers spend many hours on the web in search of real estate that may be of interest.  To that end your home will be published on three internet sites, First your home will be featured on my website, www.briansteiner.com.  Second your home will appear on Windermere's award winning website, www.windermere.com.  Your home will also be published through Northwest Multiple listing Service's website, now available to the public at www.nwrealestate.com.  

Photo Galleries and Virtual Tours :  On www.briansteiner.com and www.windermere.com, your home will be presented with a series of photographs and descriptions showing the various features of your home.  A Virtual Tour may also be included to provide the homebuyer with a "live" style moving tour.  Multiple photos will also be offered to those who shop on www.nwrealestate.com.

Direct Mail:  Direct mailings can be an effective method of alerting the community to your home.  These mailers can be in the form of a letter, an invitation to an Open House, or a professionally printed tri-fold with a business reply card.  I will mail sufficient quantities to generate an interest throughout your marketplace.

Flyers:  I shall professionally create, produce and send at least one flyer to each and every agent in the Multiple Listing Association in the area of your home.

 

Open Houses

Windermere's Agent Tour:  Windermere agents tour our newly listed properties each week.  As soon as your house is placed on the market, it will be included in this "Windermere Agents" tour.

General Broker's Open Houses:  "Broker's Opens" are held Tuesday through Thursday depending on where your home is located.  These are advertised through the NWMLS.  I will ensure that your house is placed on this tour and I, or one of my associates, will attend the Open House with property profiles pointing out the features of your home.

Public Open Houses:  Advertised Sunday Open Houses are a tool that gives prospective buyers a "first hand look" at your home.  Either myself or another top agent will be there to handle questions and help sell the property.

 

The Sale and Closing of the Transaction

  • I will be present at any and all Earnest Money presentations.
  • I will qualify all purchasers to the best of my ability.
  • I will constantly keep you informed as to the progress of your Earnest money Agreement from the time of signing until the close of the sale.
  • I work hard to handle any situation that may arise with mortgage bankers, purchasers and other agents during the time of processing up to the actual close of your sale.
  • I will go with you, if you so desire, to the signing of the closing documents.

 

My Communication with You

 The cornerstone of my good marketing plan is communication.  This includes keeping you informed of any developments and staying in touch with prospective buyers and agents.

 I will verbally keep in touch with you at least twice a week as my work progresses for you.

 If you prefer, I will provide a written report every 3-4 weeks to fully inform you of all my work and the marketing done on your behalf.
